Insulin resistance most often occurs when we’ve got a problem with excess insulin (a hormone in our body). Too high level of insulin turns the body into a fat tissue factory and prevents the effective building of muscle mass.

High insulin levels block glucagon (a hormone) that allows us to burn the fat tissue. As glucagon is blocked by high insulin, if you eat the wrong foods you can eat like a bird, even starve, run kilometres, and you won’t burn body fat at all. This is such a phenomenon. When you fix insulin, many problems will disappear.
