WHAT ELSE STOPS YOU FROM BECOMING PLANT-BASED?

  • Family members, children, taking too much time to devote to myself

Guess what my Sunshine here you have support coming from people who go through the same. I remember I had the same excuse, but when I started planning, organizing my week it started to be pretty easy. You are the priority now not them, with time they will follow. Trust me.

  • Will power

It’s only procrastination – what it means is that you don’t want to (or you aren’t truly ready) to make a decision and follow with action.

  • Uncomfortable, strong emotions

This could come from fear. By making a firm decision, making the move & facing the emotions we start understanding that fear is just an illusion. Find support in someone close and talk to them. It will get better once you pass the moment. Accepting it, forgiving yourself & moving on does wonders.

  • Feeling pressure in social situations

Social settings don’t bother me because I’m prepared and I have a plan. It’s like going out into the rain without an umbrella – you get wet.

  • Cravings

Eat till you’re full at each meal. No carbohydrates at dinner helps & cravings will start to change.

  • My husband is extremly picky eater and I’m allergic to so many things

Patience. He might do well with a slow transition and with time also be less picky. Allergies are a sign of pathogens in our system. To turn things around, we have to start with the clean diet & detox our body.

  • Laziness

I can keep kicking your butt daily & motivate you if you want! Check out how you can work with me on a more individual basis.

  • Need to get more organized

Set priorities -> Focus on the goal -> Plan -> Take Action -> Repeat

  • Saving money

Money is just and seems to be always the easiest excuse… And a pretty good one. However, it can also be great motivation, to keep focus and drop any other excuses.

  • Preparation, dealing with stress and emotional eating

Learning to be prepared is like learning to drive. First, we keep controlling everything and after a while,  we do that on autopilot. Once you master that, your confidence grows and your fear disappears together with emotional stress. Then you find balance.

  • Cravings each time I try

Could be that you put pressure again on yourself. It’s a matter of time till next time. A better way is to have a clear plan, to follow and focus on something different in life for meeting your needs.

  • My bad habits

Well done that you’re already aware of your bad habits! New habits can replace old ones, you’ll only experience the benefits of them.

  • I cannot plan everything well

If we spend as much time doing as we spend thinking we’d never have to plan and we’d never waste any time! This is not that hard, you can learn by daily practice and organising your shopping, preparing and cooking. For example, shop once a week for a bulk of production and a second time to purchase what doesn’t last a week – leafy greens.

  • My husband is hiding my weight loss and not supporting me

Honest communication solves all problems. Talk to him really, honestly. Men & some women are the creatures of order, they don’t like when things change – they fear change of what’s next…

  • Lack of discipline & procastination thinking I can do better tomorrow but fail

You are not alone. This is a very common worry. Being part of a group/tribe helps to overcome that worry. It’s so much easier.

  • Just not caring about myself and depression

Do you believe that you can heal? Where your focus goes your energy flows. Go and revisit Video 1/2/3.

  • Work

Ask better questions and you’ll get better answers. What we ask for we shall receive. Ask out loud how can I be plant-based at work? If you listen, you’ll get an answer.

  • Social events and drinking

The power of habit! All this is a matter of changing habits, finding something else that’s making you feel great and actually seeing the difference. You are not around the right people.

  • Family dinnes, go out with friends

Cooked vegetables are just fine, and so freaking delish!

  • Being the only one in my family to eat this way

I can relate to that. Try to think of yourself as showing the way. Once they see your positive outcome they’ll follow. Trust me.

  • Daria do you have any food addicions/emotional eating

I don’t have any food addictions, I sometimes have cravings, but today I know how to hear what my body really wants/what is deficient in – I understand the meaning of my cravings. Make sure you eat enough & plan your meals regularly. It helps tremendously!

  • Daria, do you take vitamin B12

No, I don’t. But I don’t advise on any supplements, best is to test it and decide for yourself. Do your own research & do what feels right for you.

  • When my child refuses what I give him to eat because he is picky

There are many ways to work on picky eaters. Picky eater means that he isn’t usually hungry when it’s mealtime. Does he like fruit? If yes – you have the answer.

QUALITY QUESTIONS = QUALITY LIFE

The most powerful way to control your focus is through the use of questions.
